About Me

As the owner / director of Your Life Health and Fitness I, James Hopper am committed to inspiring and nurturing your training, to help you reach and maintain a confidence in your own health and well being.  My passion is to be that positive change in Your Life, by educating you on the benefits of living a healthy and active lifestyle. My goals are realistic, my exercise programs work and I aim to personalize these to your individual needs. Most importantly I practice what I preach.

My training philosophy is that being fit is not a destination, there is no end result, it is instead a way of life. It is a lifestyle that I will create for you. I take on a holistic approach to personal training that reflects my philosophy on healthy living. When I work with a client to design their program, I take into account the whole person, not just their body, but also their mind. For me it is not just a physical change my clients will achieve but also a mental change, adopting a whole new outlook on life. I also believe that you don’t need to put in long hours to get results. I am not one to waste time so every exercise I choose is goal specific, effective and efficient. With my expertise in fitness and exercise program design I can tailor a complete package that is suited to your specific requirements and goals. I aim to motivate you through your fitness challenge until you conquer it, making sure you keep your mind and body fit for life!

I am a fully qualified Personal Trainer based in Hobart, Tasmania. I have enjoyed participating in a wide variety of sporting disciplines over the years. I exercise daily both in the gym and outdoors. I have my own personal health and fitness goals that I actively work to achieve. My 2013 fitness goal is all about recreational running, training for fun-runs, triathlons, and Raw Challenge Tasmania. My own motivation is success, the drive to be able to say “I’ve made it,” the ability to look after my family and have financial freedom. I aim to be a role model, someone others admire for professional and personal reasons, to be a leader in my field and most importantly to improve the quality of as many lives as possible and it starts here with Your Life Health and Fitness.
